Jordan Plofsky Joins Altera as Senior Vice President of Embedded Processor Products
SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 20, 2001--Altera
Corporation (Nasdaq:ALTR) today announced that Jordan Plofsky has
joined Altera as senior vice president of embedded processor products,
reporting to John Daane, president and CEO. Mr. Plofsky's
responsibilities will include marketing and engineering of Altera's
Excalibur(TM) embedded processor solutions.

first hand knowledge of the communications industries, intellectual
property design and marketing, and the system-on-a-chip market will be

Mr. Plofsky was previously executive vice president of the
Enterprise Internetworking Group at LSI Logic. He has earlier served
in a variety of management and senior executive roles at Analog
Devices Inc. and Harris Corporation. Mr. Plofsky holds a BSEE degree
from the University of Illinois.
